The twelfth edition of the Meeting on Bees 2018 was held in Uberlândia (Minas Gerais, Brazil) from the 12th to 14th of October, 2018. Traditionally the meeting was organized by Faculdade de Filosofia Ciência e Letras da Universidade de São Paulo (FFCLRP-USP) and held in the city of Ribeirão Preto, this year it was organized by Universidade de Uberlândia (UFU).
Dr. Claudia Inês da Silva, together with her student Fabrício Yuji, presented 3 posters about research being developed by RCPol in urban areas, two of these posters being done in partnership with Museu Cultural Catavento (MC) and the other poster about a study of the vegetation present at the Institute of Biosciences of USP (IB-USP).
The research in partnership with MC studied the network of interactions between bees and plants and the floristic survey of the area to build a pollen catalogue. The study done at IB-USP seeks to identify the plants used to feed bees present on campus.
