On December 14th, at 2:00 pm, there will be a Round Table on Forensic Palynology, composed of experts and academics, which will give special attention to the interaction of the academy with the organs of expertise.
About the Event
In 2016, the VI NATIONAL SEMINAR OF DNA AND FORENSIC LABORATORIES, together with the II SOUTH BRAZILIAN COLLECTION OF FORENSIC SCIENCE RESEARCH, will take place in Curitiba-PR, Campus Botanic Garden of UFPR, in a pleasant scenario for the exchange of experiences, acquisition of knowledge and scientific and technological innovations in the forensic area.
The event, sponsored by the Union of Official Experts of the State of Paraná and the Brazilian Association of Criminalistics, has the support of the Federal University of Paraná and the Foundation of the Federal University of Paraná, the Paraná State Scientific Police, the Federal Association of Criminal Experts and Federal Police.
The VI NATIONAL SEMINAR OF DNA AND FORENSIC LABORATORIES, a biannual event with a specific theme, has been a promising forum for managers and professionals to know and evaluate new equipment and methodologies, updating and innovation tools to the expert demands. The participation of renowned lecturers, jurists, experts and researchers of national and international recognition in the areas of Genetics, Toxicology, Chemistry and Forensic Biochemistry has directly reflected on the valorization and growth of the Brazilian expertise in the laboratory research area.
The II SOUTH BRAZILIAN COLLECTION OF RESEARCH IN FORENSIC SCIENCES, on the other hand, has as its focus to present researches in the forensic area and, developed in Brazilian universities. A special emphasis on how the interaction of the academy with the organs of expertise can be productive in encouraging research and scientific production.
With estimated audience of approximately 500 participants, the event will target professionals involved in criminal elucidation, such as Criminal Experts, Medical Examiners, Military Police Officers, Civil Police Officers, Prosecutors, Judges, Lawyers and Public Defenders, as well as researchers and students from the most diverse areas of knowledge.
During the event managers in the expert area, such as the Brazilian Association of Criminalistics – ABC, Integrated Network of Banks of Genetic Profiles – RIBPG and Forum of Forensic Sciences Researchers, will have the opportunity to discuss specific guidelines and policies that promote a solid and profitable integration among experts, researchers, academics and managers of expertise in Brazil, emphasizing the importance of criminal expertise in the promotion of justice and citizenship.
