Between September 25th and 27th, in the city of Marechal Cândido Rondon-PR, took place the third RCPol Training Course: Palinology, Palinoecology, Paleopalinology and Data Organization.

From June 26 to 30, the II RCPol Training Course was held in the city of Canoas, at the Lutheran University of Brazil: Palynology, Palinoecology, Paleopalinology and Data Organization.

From March 27th to 31st, the first RCPol Training Course: Palynology, Palinoecology and Data Organization took place in Belém.

Dr. Mercedes di Pasquo, independent researcher of CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas, Argentina) and chairwoman of ALPP (Asociacíon Latinoamericana de Paleobotánica y Palinología), wrote a note about RCPol for CONICET’s website.

The second edition of the workshop about computational tools for palynological studies happened from 27th to 29th of April in 2016.

APTA released a note informing beekeepers that Aethina tumida, Small hive beetle, has been detected in Brazil. The note asks beekeepers to watch their beehives to detect the beetles’ presence.
