A task force to remove pollen from bees and flower buds that had been collected through one year in guarana plantations and its surroundings took place in Manaus (Amazonas, Brazil) between February 26th and March 2nd with the participation of Dr. Cláudia Inês da Silva. These samples are going to be analysed by RCPol in a research project in partnership with Embrapa called Polinet (Bee Interaction Networks with Northern and Northeastern Brazilian Fruit Trees). This research project main goal is to characterise fruit species plant-pollinators interaction networks, focusing in bees as pollinators, aiming to subsidise productive arrangements that share the most efficient pollinators and raise pollination and sustainability of agroecosystems.
