Between October 2nd and 6th, RCPol Training Course: Palinology, Palinoecology and Data Organization took place in the city of Araras, SP.
The course was organized by RCPol in partnership with Dr. Roberta Nocelli and UFSCar – Campus Araras, who provided us with the necessary structure to minister and to receive all the participants.
The objectives of the course were to enable students, teachers and researchers to use our methodology to work with the pollen grains during acetolysis, to use the RCPol databases, as well as the tools available on our website and to contribute to the dialogue on Beekeeping and Meliponicultura.
Subjects related to Palinoecology, interaction with pollinators and data organization for the insertion in RCPol database were discussed. The course was divided in two modules:
- Module I happened on the 2nd and 3rd of October, where the methods for studies on Palinoecology and interaction with pollinators were explained;
- On the 4th, there were lectures promoted by UFSCar in honor of Bee Day, high yield beekeeping and meliponiculture, as well as bee health topics;
- Module II took place on the 5th and 6th of October and included activities focused on data organization methods for insertion into RCPol database and the functionality of the interactive key systems.
